BIEGLO offers high temperature resistant and flame retardant fibers. The application is similiar to meta-aramid, but PI fibers have its own advantages.
The long-term service temperature is 260℃. The decomposition temperature is 560℃. The LOI is 38%, it means it is non-flameble fiber.
The Dexnyl Polyimide fibers are applicable in many products, but they are used best in niche-applications with extreme standards for the material:
1- FR Protective clothing: e.g. military fligth clothing, flame resistand underwear, firefighter uniform etc.
2- High temperature filtration and industrial insulation: e.g. dedusting filtration for cement factories, steel or powder plants, air filtration for painting area operated at more than 300°C .
3- Composite material: taking advantage of insulation, flame retardance and high emperature resistance, chopped fiber can be used as reinforced material.
Polyetherimide has recently joined the BIEGLO portfolio. Our sales portfolio for PEI contains rods and sheets from 8mm to 100mm diameter. As well as, PEI thin films below 1mm thickness. The maximum width is 1200mm for sheets and film.

The Dexnyl PEEK filaments of BIEGLO is a high performance product made by melt spinning. Semicrystalline PEEK has high tensile strength, it is exceptionally resistant to chemicals and can withstand extreme temperatures. These features ensure a longer product life, lower maintenance costs, less machine downtime and wider material design options compared to steel or aluminum parts.
PEEK filaments can be used very well for 3D printing. Printing with PEEK requires 360 ° C to 380 ° C. So far, only specially modified 3D printers are able to achieve this heat.
Sliced woven and/or unidirectional fibers significantly reinforce matrix material and are a popular additive for composites. PEEK filaments are also used on musical instruments, rackets and wide or narrow woven straps, filtration mesh fabrics and sewing threads.

BIEGLO offers polyimide tubes with inner diameters starting from 2mm and going down to 100 micron. Our polyimide tubing are mainly used in the medical industry for catheters or neurovascular applications. Dexnyl polyimde tubings are extruded from thermoplastic polyimides and offer excellent pushability and tractability as well as ultra-smooth surface and transparency. USP class VI (USP 6) compliance is of course a given.
PAI material considers the most efficient fusible thermoplastic in terms of temperature resistance, chemical resistance and mechanical stress. Its mechanical strength at 205 °C surpasses many engineering plastics at room temperature.

Each type is best suited for a particular application. Polyamide-imide can be used for a lot of appliations like gears, rollers, plasma chamber hardware and wafer contact fixtures. In addition, PAI material is ideal for high-temperature thermal insulators, burn-in test sockets, valve seats, fasteners, mechanical connections, rollers, labyrinth seals, drive wheels, valve plates, vanes and support gaskets.
BIEGLO offers finished or semi-finished parts directly formed from polyimide powder with all the attributes of sintered PI. The advantage of direct formed parts are the lower costs as quantitiy is increasing. Due to almost zero percent waste during production it can be a more economic production method. Machined parts are widely used for small series high precision applications.

The range of products that can be produced from our polyimide (PI) is only limited by the processing machines. Polyimide powder can be processed by hot compression molding, direct forming, iso-static compression molding or it can be compounded with other materials as an additive. Polyimide powder is often compounded with PTFE to increase certain properties of the PTFE.
